unPoster – Authorization

Widespread software piracy has made this system necessary.

When you start the Watcher or a Downloader the first time, the unPoster will try to verify your username with our authorization server at techsono.com. This usually takes less than a second.

If you have a firewall, you may need to configure it to allow access to techsono.com.

After a failed authorization, you will have to restart the unPoster.

If you still have problems, email us the contents of the ‘auth-debug.txt’ file. To find this file, go onto The unPoster’s “Help” menu and then to “Open App Data Folder”. On the Mac, you can just go into your unPoster folder. Once you have the file open, paste it into an email, and send it to the address on the Support page. Also include in the email the email-address and registration-key that you have entered into The unPoster.
