Step 5 – Download

This page explains ezNZB’s “Step 5 – Download” screen. You can ask a question down at the bottom of the page.

Click the “Show Files” button to see the list of files contained in the NZB file that you imported in the previous step. If you keep the list open, and the “Refresh Automatically” box checked, ezNZB will update the list as it downloads. Click the “Start” button and watch the “Parts Done” column.

If you are downloading a large file, you can stop ezNZB and restart it later if needed. And you don’t have to re-import the NZB file. You can go directly to Step 5 and resume downloading.

When the download is complete, ezNZB will open the Downloads folder where you will see the completed file. But if your NZB contains multiple files, you can go to Step 6 while ezNZB is still downloading. On Step 6, you can click the “Open Downloads Folder” button and start using the completed files while the rest are still being downloaded. However, don’t move any PAR or RAR files out of the Downloads folder because ezNZB needs them all in one place when it is ready to process them.

If the NZB contains PAR files, ezNZB will open a PAR window and do the error checking. If you have RAR files, ezNZB will then open a RAR window and start to extract the files within the RAR.

I downloaded a audiobook from USENET. It consists of 66 parts. Part 5 is defective and will not play. Also downloaded the PAR files.
Using ezNZB works fine but also has problems with Part 5 and reports error 430. Any way to just check and/or fix just one file (Part 5)???
My skill level is quite low but I will try just about anything once.

    Thanx

    Gerhard,

The 430 error comes from the server, and means that the server does not have the post that ezNZB asked for. It’s possible that the server is suffering a technical problem, so you could complain to your ISP.

You might be able to re-create the file if there are enough PAR blocks with QuickPar, or MacPar Deluxe if you are on a Mac. Download them here:

eznbz started working okay, but now I keep getting the message “Sorry can’t figure out what to do with the file you dropped. You can drop files that end with .rar, r00, etc..” any ideas?
    Thanks, Joe

    Joe,

What is ezNZB doing when you get that message? If you are dropping files on its desktop icon, what kind are they?

    Hi,
I am seeing the extracted files ok using show files, but they never get saved to the download folder despite no obvious error messages. This also happens for the test.mp3 file.

    warren,

What kind of computer do you have? If you are using a Mac, did you drag the ezNZB folder to your hard drive?

    Matt

  7. warren says:

Hi Matt, I have an IMac, yes I dragged it to the Applications folder. Apologies i ran the Import again and they are not error free, they do produce the 430 error. Which occurs with both eznzb and supernzb. And also for the test file. Unfortunately I have only one source for the files I want. In your doco you did mention getting the newest versions of the files, but this is the only source I know of, so am not sure what to do now. regards W

I have downloaded like 20 nzb files and none of them worked. Nothing but 430.

  9. admin says:

    Putti,

430 errors can have a few different causes. Please see this page:

After installing SuperNZB only one steam option shows and when I check the checkbox I get this Erroe message:
“An exception of class OutOfBoundsException was not handled. The application must shut down”.
I have tried reinstalling and it still displays this.
