This is a "universal binary" that works on both newer Intel-based Macs and older PowerPC-based Macs.

The current version of The unPoster for Mac OSX is v2.0.3

Note: This program's NZB feature has been spun-off into a new program called SuperNZB, which is the program you should download if you want to use NZBs.

Upgrade Instructions

Look in your unPoster folder, and if you don't have the rar and par2 files, copy them from the DMG. If you are upgrading from a version older than v2.0.0, you should finish up downloading any files that you might want from your newsgroups. Then copy the new unPoster program from the DMG.

If you are installing v2.0.0 or higher for the first time, throw away the Database and Newsgroups folders inside your unPoster folder. The program will re-create this data in its new format.

Version 2.0.0 and higher use a different database format, so follow the instructions on this page to convert your current unPoster.sdb database file.

If you are upgrading from a version older than v2.0.0, you will have to have the Watcher re-scan your groups. We are sorry for this inconvenience, but we had to fix some problems in the way that the program identified filenames. When you have this version installed, you can set the Starting Point for each group to the last post in the group, or near to it, if you only want the Watcher to find new files and not re-scan all the older files.
