The free newsgroup server that your ISP provides is very likely to be "throttled." Most ISP's deliberately make their server run slowly to reduce network traffic. They may sell you a very fast connection, but you will probably get much higher speeds from our news sever.

AOL and MSN are still in the Stone Age

AOL and MSN use non-standard newsgroup technology that does not allow you to use advanced software, such as high-speed bulk downloaders. They confine you to their own mickey-mouse software. PayPal is part of eBay and does a zillion transactions every day. Their system is very reliable, and they are the best at protecting buyers and sellers from fraud. If you sign up for a monthly subscription with us, you can cancel it anytime you like via PayPal. We couldn't hassle you even if we wanted to! If you have ever tried to close an AOL account, you know what we are talking about!

News Server URL, Port, and Connections

Our news-server URL is: news.techsono-news.com. This is actually a gateway server that makes all the servers in our server farm look like one large server. If your ISP blocks, or throttles port 119, you can also connect to the server on ports 7500 and 7505. The server allows you six simultaneous connections.
